We combine academic learning, practical and vocational opportunities, personal development and preparation for the next stage.

The exact curriculum and timetable are personalised to the learner’s age, starting point, EHCP outcomes, interests, aspirations and commissioned provision.

English

Reading, writing, communication and functional literacy are developed through differentiated teaching and meaningful application.

Mathematics

Learners develop number, calculation, problem-solving and functional Maths skills from their individual starting points.

Science and wider curriculum

Where appropriate, learners access science, humanities, computing, PSHE, PE and other curriculum areas through differentiated learning.

Functional Skills

Functional Skills English and Maths from Entry Level through Level 2 are available where appropriate to the learner’s age, starting point and pathway.

Accredited learning

Thrive is an ASDAN registered centre and can provide appropriate accredited programmes where these support the learner’s pathway.

Vocational and practical learning

Practical learning is used to develop skills, confidence, independence and employability. The available offer varies by site.

Personal development

Learners develop communication, emotional regulation, social skills, independence, financial awareness, community participation and other life skills.

Careers and Preparation for Adulthood

Learners are supported to understand their strengths, interests and future options and, at the appropriate stage, prepare for college, apprenticeships, employment and independent adulthood.
